Kelsey McNeill, LCSW is a compassionate and dedicated mental health professional with over 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate complex medical, emotional, and mental health challenges. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Sonoma State University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California.
Kelsey began her career at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as a medical social worker, providing support across inpatient units, intensive care, and the Emergency Department. It was in the Emergency Department that she discovered her passion for crisis intervention and trauma-focused care, developing expertise in supporting individuals during some of life's most challenging moments.
In addition to her clinical work, Kelsey served on and helped develop several initiatives aimed at improving patient care and addressing critical social issues. She played a key role in establishing a Human Trafficking Task Force and led educational programs for healthcare professionals to increase awareness and improve identification of trafficking victims. She also supervised MSW staff, provided clinical supervision hours, and mentored social work interns.
Kelsey later joined Lightyear Health, a behavioral health startup focused on serving individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. There, she expanded her experience using trauma-informed care, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based approaches to support recovery and long-term wellness.
Known for her warm, empathetic, and client-centered approach, Kelsey believes in the power of human connection, resilience, and holistic well-being. She is committed to helping individuals build the tools and confidence needed to overcome challenges and create meaningful change. Kelsey is licensed to practice in California.
